Can I use DataType to save work objects?
Hi All,
I have a requirement, as to update some fields of work object and save it into different table.
Therefore, I have created DataType, configured the source and properties.
The table created as pr_ A-B-Data-StoreDT. The table is also mapped with schema and database.
Since, it is pr_ dataType, is this a PEGA internal table ? can we use it to persist the daily creating thousands of workobjects ?
Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

@MuzzuShaik you can store the data within the cases. For example:- if you are having customer onboarding case type, all of your cases will be having customer informations. You can store customer informations(data) of all those cases into the data type.

@Anoop Krishna Yes! you can save the mapped properies values of Workobject in the custom data type which is created by you/your team. use the appropriate obj methods for DB transactions (example obj-save with commit, obj-browse , obj-open-by-Handle etc). for only one record save you can use Savable Datapages also .

Yes you can absolutely use it there are concepts called data instance first and data instance after in case design patterns where PEGA would have suggested using data type to support the case data. PFB the link where you can have more details on the same.
