We have a customer who is wanting to monitor business transactions
By this we mean how long a customer search takes from submitting the data.
How long an interaction task (eg change address) is taking and how long is wrap up call taking.
The examples provided are from Customer Service but could apply elsewhere, is there a recommended approach for capturing such information.
We were hoping to use the tool appdynamics to do this but the monitoring of specific urls and parametes does not seem to be possible to identify these business actions completly. Has anyone taken appdynamics further than simple class level monitoring to look at this
or used a different tool, is this on the Pega roadmap to allow such measuring?
Thanks, but neither of those are really suitable, and changing status isnt really a scaleable approach. The status of a work item between changes may be the result of several customer business Transactions, and similar with stages.
Introducing status changes to identify a customer defined business transaction would result in a lot of additional update to work that shouldnt really be needed.
Ideally a mechanism of adding events into the pages wold be the ideal, these events causing the http parameters to be modified so they could be tracked
