BIX Extraction to Non-Pega DB in Cloud
We are running Pega BIX Extraction in Cloud. I saw a documentation in Pega, which mentioned we cannot do a direct extraction to Data base using BIX in Cloud.
The question i have is, if there is any alternative way we can configure "Pega BIX in Cloud" to have the extraction done directly work to a data base.
This is urgent customer requirement, i need to know if there are any custom configurations that we can do to have the extraction done to a destination Database.
Any help and information is appreciated.

If you want to run BIX on the cloud then you can output to XML or CSV but not a target database. You can then write a script to use the xml/csv output to populate your target database tables if that is what you want.

Currently there is no option to do this but there are plans to support this in a future release of Pega.

Hi,
We have overridden a when rule and tried to configure Extract rule writing to DB.The extract rule runs and creates a zip file on the server with an xsd and XML but doesnt write to the data base. Due you have any technical limitation that is stopping it to write to DB?

- The reason for not providing DB extracts on the cloud was the provisioning of DB schemas on the cloud for the customer.
- Secondly, if the customer did provision them on their premise, we needed to extract data over VPN which will be really slow and extremely time consuming.

We were able to work this out by overriding DSS OnPegaCloud and running the OOTB activity Rule-Admin-Extract.pxExtractDataWithArgs.
So we are running BIX on pega cloud environment :)
