I am writing today to ask if it is possible to assign multiple automation packages to the same workgroup within Robot Manager.
What we want to do, essentially, is to assign two different packages to the same workgroup and kick off the Runtime by Operator IDs - one operator ID to run package A and the other operator ID to run package B. When I try to assign multiple packages to the same workgroup, I get an error in the Package portal that 'An active assignment already exists for this robotic workgroup'. Is this posibble? Or do any of you have an alternative way of achieving this?
Ok, thank you for taking the time to answer that. So when I look in Robot Manager, I see that I am able to create an assignment for a User, Department, or a Work Group - Would I be able to assign my package to a user, or department, and then kick the runtime off in a VM that way? I've tried finding documentation about assigning to Department or User but I'm not having any luck.

You can look at the link below. It is pretty self explanatory once you have users and departments created. It works the same as the RPA process in terms of assigning. It is a little more complex when you actually implement in production as you need to get the users authenticated; which is normally handled by an STS server or Micorsoft ADFS, however you can use an email and password to login for testing (or production but that is not reccomended).
