RDA Package Assignment to a Department
Hi,
Is it mandatory to create Departments from Robot Manager only, if we want to assign and RDA package to a department ?
Can't we use the organization created from DEV studio as its a replica for a department ?
I'm unable to see the organizations in this list for Departments while trying to assign the RDA package to particular Department. Is it expected behaviour ?

Hi Vikas,
it's not possible to assign the Packages to a Organization / Department. You'll be able to assign the RDA Packages only to the Operator / User's directly. The organizations / Department option to assign the packages is not available and yes it's expected behaviour.

You can create assignments for packages to a Department, User or Work Group https://docs-previous.pega.com/pega-robot-manager/853/assigning-deployment-levels-and-packages To a User or Department you can create multiple assignments to package-version but for Work Group you can only create one.
When assigning to a Department the departments hierarchy applies and if assigned to the parent department all the users in the child departments will have access to that assignment.
Yes, you can see a Department or Org structure created from Dev Studio in Robot Manager console. The only requisite for having visibility of the Department is that it is associated to a ruleset within your application stack.
Please, verify this and let me know if it is not the case.
