Alert notifications as pop-ups

Can we have notification alerts as pop-ups. Example: an agent job is completed and flashes the alert as popup (like desktop notification on new mail)

Just to help understand your use-case here: I'm breaking down my understanding here (which might not be right):

You have two basic requirements here:

- Generate an notification (part 1)

- React on the UI to this notification automatically (as a popup) (part 2).

Many of  Pega Portal feature a notification 'bell' icon that will show a count of Pulse Messages; and you can click to see a list of the most recent notifications.

You can build solutions using OOTB features to Post Pulse messages; for instance:

https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/adding-post-pulse-step

And the Portal will show count of notifications in a red-circle over the bell icon. This isn't an automatic popup however, so probably falls short of your requirement.

I personally am not aware of an OOTB 'pop-up' style notification though; others may be able to help on that.

Thanks for your reply! I found similar article for Notification through Web Gadget. Is the Post Pulse to Gadget more of an internal messaging for one particular case and Web Gadget a central place for all notifications? I'm trying to compare both to figure out which would be more suitable.
