After upgrading CPMHC, Add Task - > Service Case is opening in new Tab

Hi Team,

We are doing an upgrade activity from PRPC 6.1 SP2 to 7.1.8 along with three frameworks CPM, HCIF and PCSHC. After doing upgrade, when selecting a "Service Case" from Add Task Button, the service case is opening in New Tab rather in the same window.

Kindly help us to resolve this issue.

Rakesh, The issue might be with the class inheritance with your work class. Can you make sure that your work class does not have the inheritance from Interaction class. You can right click on the class name to view the inheritance to make sure you do not have any classes which contains Interaction in your class hierarchy. When you click on Intent Task whether it need to be open in the new tab or existing interaction tab is decided by the pyDefault data transform rule in the work class. If you have interaction class in your hierarchy then it opens in new tab instead of same interaction. Thanks, Dhev

Hi Devendra,

I was looking for solution to open previously created SR from a link inside Interaction work and the SR should open in New tab thread.....   from your thread response i understand.. only interaction work can be open in new tab .. but not Service Requests....

Is there a way to customize this behaviour particular to a section where i shows related work's as link and on click of it irrespective of work type .. it should open work in new tab ..?

Hi Dhev,

Thanks for the suggestion. It worked.

Changed the class inheritance of my Work class from PegaCPMHC-Work-interaction to PegaCPMHC-Work. After this the service case is opening in the same window.
