AES - JIRA integration.
Hi Team,
We would like to integrate AES with JIRA.
Essentially, weekly score card reports which are getting generated @ AES should be auto updated to a user story @ JIRA.
Please suggest if this is feasible.

Please clarify -- are you suggesting that PDC should create a user story in Jira for each action item? What updates would you suggest flow from PDC once a Jira story is open?
Do you want stories in Jira for every action item or only specific action items? What other features would you want to see in Jira integratoin?

I'm confused. The "weekly scorecard" is a snapshot of top issues as identified by collecting data for a week and comparing it to last week. In that scorecard, there will be up to 30 issues listed. How would the scorecard itself be a user story? From an agile perspective, the issues (action items) listed in the scorecard are likely stories, but the scorecard itself is a static artifact -- a document at best.

To start with,we would like to have the "weekly scorecard" created as an EPIC @ JIRA and the corresponding action items will be considered as user stories.But still,this strategy havent been finalized yet and we are looking forward for the feasible options around the integration piece (AES and JIRA).
Please let us know the implementation details regarding the same.

Thanks. I'm not sure about treating the weekly scorecard as an epic - it is really a container for status of stories. Jira should be able to create a story from the "new item" notification.
I'll post more as we get to defining a proper API

Just wanted to get clarified regarding the API in discussion with the context of confluence article provided. Are you referring to direct JIRA user story creation/update from AES (JIRA and AES Integration) or User story creation/update from the AES Email score card (JIRA and OUTLOOK integration)?

Intent will be to offer direct API - PDC calls JIRA REST service.
I assume - but have not verified - that JIRA can create a user story off the existing PDC scorecard emails. Please let me know what you find

We plan to start investigating JIRA integration next sprint. Schedule will be set based on "how hard" it will be. Overall I hope to have capability for PDC to create cases in Pega Support, Agile Studio, Jira and ServiceNow by June

We have completed POC to allow a PDC user to create a Jira story or bug from a PDC Action item.
We have no plans for any integration to with Jira to create artifacts from the improvement plan; expectation is that the resource manager will review the PDC case and choose to elevate KPI, ignore, send to pega support and/or create Jira case [assuming customer enables jira integration]. Once this feature is live and we have feedback we will see where it goes. At present, can not provide specifications or dates for AES enhancements, will post when we have more clarity from management.
