'Access denied' Error while trying to install Pega 7.4.0 Personal Edition
I am getting "\CreatePegaShortCut.vbs (Access is denied)" error when trying to install Pega 7.4.0 Personal edition in my system. I found this in PDN but it is not clear. Could anyone please tell what needs to be done to rectify this issue?

Note - I already set the system variable 'PATH' to C:\Windows\System32 to resolve the cscript error as mentioned in this post.

Hi All,
I added both system32 and jdk folder path to the PATH variable under the section "System Variables" in the Environment variables dialog box. This resolved the issue. Thanks all for your help.

Hi,
Are you sure that PATH environment is set to Jdk/bin(C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_161\bin) and JAVA_HOME set to jdk(C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_161) ?
And what is java version and jdbc driver you are using?

Hi Ananm,
I am using version Java 8 161. And I checked in the path you mentioned. I have jre folder instead of jdk. So kept PATH variable to C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_161\bin and JAVA_HOME to C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_161. But still getting the same error while trying to install.
Log Error : BUILD FAILED
D:\Downloads\116090_PE740\pegaGuiInstallerTemp\build.xml:257: java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\Downloads\116090_PE740\pegaGuiInstallerTemp\CreatePegaShortCut.vbs (Access is denied)
Any idea you have what I need to do further to rectify the issue.

yes, I have now installed jdk and kept the PATH variable to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-11\bin. Now when I ran the installation again, getting
