Issue
After updating to Pega Infinity™ ‘25, clients see errors while attempting to upload files with special characters in the filename.
Symptoms and Impact

"File <filename> does not exist" on the screen.

“(Data-WorkAttach-File)pxFileNotFound [filename]” in the trace.

File cannot be uploaded or attached.
Steps to Reproduce

Update to Pega Infinity ‘25.

Access pxUploadFile activity for file attachments (for example by using pyAttachmentScreen section).

Attempt to attach a file containing special or non-ASCII characters in the filename, Example: üöä.F.pdf. Error “pxFileNotFound“ is displayed.
Root Cause
This is a defect in the Pega Platform related to an encoding limitation that prevents the system from correctly interpreting filenames with special characters.
Solution
A Platform level fix to address this issue is currently planned for the next feasible patch releases.
In the interim, hotfixes are available for the current impacted release of Pega Infinity ‘25:
- HFIX-D951 – Pega 25.1.2
- HFIX-D334 – Pega 25.1.1
