Pega Upgrade on two different Data center nodes

Hello Pega folks,

We have our two Pega environment running on two different Data center nodes (East and West). We have Disaster Recovery on means only 1 Data center active at a time and replication is on means Tables, scheama, data everything will be copied over to passive Data center. When we do failover to east, means West will be active at that time. 

Now, we need to do Pega upgrade and DBA told not to stop replication anytime as there will be huge backlog after upgrade. We think on this plan where we upgrade ActivePega Environment (i.e. East) including Pega Platform upgrade from 8.5 to 8.8, Pega CDH Upgrade from 8.5 to 8.8 with Not stopping replication jobs between Data centers. If we upgrade active East environment, will that automatically do upgrade on West environment ? Or we need to follow same process ( Upgrade Pega platform, Upgarde Pega CDH etc) for passive Data center (i.e. West) ?

@RushabhShah once you upgraded the East environment, the database changes automatically updated to West env as per the configuration. Not required separate upgrade for the west env.
