Convert case attachments stored in Pega to his actual files
Hi all,
for Migration we want to convert case attachments stored in Pega Cloud Application developed in Pega Platform 7.1.9 to his actual files. Since the attachments are stored in BLOB as base64 format we don't know how to proceed on this requirement. Hence we want a solution by which the attachments that are in BLOB are converted to actual files like .pdf or .docx. Technically, this must happen in bulk mode. All case attachments are instances of Data-WorkAttach-File.

You can write an activity which will browse all your Attachment instances from Link-Attachment class & then call OOTB activity GetAttachmentReference for each record fetched. Pass pzInsKey of the record fetched as param linkInsHandle for the activity.
This way all of your attachments will get downloaded in your system.

Hello Abhiraj, I have finally found time to look into this issue further.
I wrote a batch program that loops to get all attachments per prospect and then calls the OOTB Activity GetAttachmentReference.
Unfortunately, it does not work.
In a test case, I have a prospect with 3 attachments. The OOTB Activity GetAttachmentReference is also called 3 times, but I only get the last attachment displayed in the browser and as a file in the download folder.
I don't want a display in the browser, but I need all 3 attachments as a file in a PC folder. And then later over several thousand records.
Do you have any ideas?

@MichaelH0368Create One Data Page Like D_GetAttachmentInfo in Data-WorkAttach-File and Create one RD inside that and configure as attached Screenshot . Now you will get all the Attachment info like Attachmentname, Attachment Stream data etc. You can create one Activity that will take Stream data and create a File.
