Not able to Create Assistance Request Case Type (System Architect Essentials)
Hello
Good morning! I am trying to login into practice exercise in System Architect Essentials training and creating a case type Assistance request and getting an error "it's already exists" but not able to see any case types in my session. Can you please help me to resolve this issue? I am also attaching the screen shot of the same.

Hi
Eash case type is internally a class in pega. So there may be instances related to these classes. So we should be very careful while deleting a casetype.
To delete a casetype=> we need to delete the class assoociated to it.
To do so we need refactoring ( Be careful while doing so. This should not be done carelessly,)
To do refactoring
STEPS :
- Open Dev studio
- Click on Configure on DevStudio landing page header then system -> tools -> refactor -> classes
- In the wizard select the class name ABC-Div-Work-CaseType related to your casetype. Be careful you need to select the right one.
- click Next and continue untill you finish the wizard.
This will delete the case type and its instances permanently.

Can you try using different name and create the case type?
I guess you already created the case type and deleted it and trying to create the same again.
Navigate to Dev Studio => App => see available classes , if Assistance Request is present under Work class the case type is not deleted properly.
