"Refresh when active" on Tab Layout group doesn't work

We have a UI showing 4 tabs in a user portal displaying the active cases/tasks and whenever a tab is clicked the results under that is to be refreshed so that completed or newly added information is readily visible.
We have a refresh when active on all the layouts under the layout group and our data page is set to load per interaction. This configuration works when in a Tab layout but not when moved to a tab layout group (and this upgrade was done because of the guardrail warning displayed that Tab layouts are to be replaced with layout groups)
I've seen articles in PDN discussing similar issues in lower versions that seem to be addressed in different ways.but the solutions don't seem to be applicable to our situation.

Hi,
Have you upgraded from any lower version .If so could you please check in the UI gallery for the layout group behavior.
1.Designer Studio -> User Interface ->Gallery ->UI elements ->Layout groups
2.Go to view design time configuration and private edit the section.
3.Configure 'refresh when active' on those sections and check the behavior in the UI gallery again.
If it works in UI gallery and doesn't work in your application section ,then it might be a configuration issue.

Hi leelabiram,
This looks like an issue due to non-template case as it was working with legacy tabs, for which HFIX-50340 is provided for 7.3 version.
You may ask for porting it to pega 7.3.1 by raising an SR. Hope it helps!!
