Is Revalidate and Save necessity for Pega Upgrade to 8.2.1

Hi All,

We are upgrading from Pega 7.1.9 to Pega 8.2.1. We have performed an in-place upgrade and as per the upgrade documentation, its not mandating nor recommending the 'Revalidate and Save' unless Rule-PegaQ instances have been written.

Also, worth noting, the only 'Revalidate and Save' option in Pega8 is to run it by different ruletypes however we would like to run it by Application layer/Rulesets if needed. Any thoughts on that direction would be helpful.

Note: We tried the Pega7 Upgrade Accelerator which fails for the same.

So waiting for recommendations from Pegasystems on this !
