Data Page issues - after Pega 7.3.1 to 8.2.1 upgrade

We recently upgraded to 8.2.1 from 7.3.1 and when we trying update an activity it is asking to change references to the way Datapages were specified. I thought you mentioned in this post that the existing activities need not be refactored and should be backward compatible. Please advise

Hi Manoj,
As per my understanding, if you try to update the rule then it will display the errors for all the Data page references in that rule which needs to be refactored. If you don't update the rule then it will work as expected due to the backward compatibility support as explained by Mike. Its designed to throw the error when you update the rule in order to refactor the code when the rule is touched by the developer. Hope that clarifies your doubt.

Yes this is correct. The rule will keep working as is after upgrade. But if you need to update the rule then it will also force you to update references to data pages using the now unsupported single-parameter syntax. I know that is an inconvenience, sorry about that. If you read my reply on the original post though hopefully the reasoning for this change makes sense.
