When Can be used the Collection rule in our application development and What is the significant use of it.

What is the Pre/Post Actions - Is it like a Pre/Post actions in a Flow Action ?

There is limited information about the real time usage of the collections in the web, but found the below 3 links which might give you some additional information to understand the role of Collections in Pega.

Hi,

It is just giving high level usage of this rule. Please give me the complete usage of it.

And none of the applications which I worked used this Collection rule and I haven't heard also. Is this really used in real time projects ?

Hi Mahesh,

I have few queries related to the Collection rule - I can see the below options (i) When applied by Rule Collection (ii) When Invoked procedurally on the Declare expression rule. So what is the interlink between Collection rule and Declare Expression rule.

I had gone through the below link but I need more clarification. Please help me.

Hi,

I had gone through this previously, But It is telling like use Collection rule to call Decision tables ? 

Is the Collection rule useful only if we need to call many rules ?  Is that the main usage of the Collection ? 

Cant we call Decision tables from Data Transforms or Activities ?

And as per my understanding almost all behavior of the Collection rule can be accomplished by Activity rule itself.

Can you please help me understanding the more about it.

And whenever we use Activity rule there will be a Guardrails warning - Do not use Activity and Is PEGA recommends to use Collection rule ?
