Can we have both Release Manager and Candidate System(DEV) on same Server Instance?

Hi,

Is it mandatory to have two run time dev environments to support the deployment manager task? We are having one Pega 7.4 dev server instance and planning to use Deployment Manager , so in this case can we use this dev server instance as both Release manager and Candidate system to deploy to other Candidate systems(Staging, PROD)?

Yes, the development and the orchestrator (deployment manager / release manager) can be the same environment. 

Just make sure, the action of rollback from deployment manager is performed consciously.
