When do I use a SQL Connector?
I can't find a concrete answer to this question.
Is it to execute a complex SQL statement like a stored proc, or to update a table in an external database?
Coming from .NET background we use SQL connector to run SQL statements and stored proc, but in Pega is it the same? This is very confusing as the study materials do not help.

What if I can only choose one? Either
1. to execute a complex SQL statement like a stored proc
2. to update a table in an external database
I know both are correct but this was asked in one of the mock exams. We are confused which is the best answer

I think it should be 1 because to update a table from an external database in Pega, you would use Obj Methods shipped as part of the product.
SQL Connect is used mainly when you want to execute a stored proc or vendor-specific syntax.
