We are using MicrosoftOutlookMail connector to send the emails. We have a requirement to change from address of the email. Can we achieve this by using MicrosoftOutlookMail connector? If not, do we have any other connectors to change the from address?
You can also use the SMTP component to send email. It has a property allowing you to specify a from name and from address. Your network must allow SMTP, but usually this is enabled. You will need to get your SMTP server name and port number from your admin (port is usually 25). In addition, you need to know if authentication is required. If not (most common), you will leave the user and password blank.
The SMTP Component should be on the Connectors tab in your Toolbox. If not, you can add it from the OpenSpan.Controls assembly.
1. Right-click on the Connectors tab in the Toolbox.
2. Select Choose Items
3. On the .Net Framework Components tab, you should be able to enter "SMTP" into the filter box.
4. If it is unchecked, go ahead and check it, and it should appear on your Toolbox.
