Pega 7.3.1 .3 Personal Edition Startup causing problem
Hi ,
I have installed pega 7.3.1 person edition without any error but when i try to start the Pega platform 7.3.1 startup i am getting error like below attachment.
and i tryied to login in pega it showing HTTP Status 404 Error .
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Did you get a chance to check if portnumber 5749 is blocked. This seems to be the issue

Thanks for Reply.
I have checked the port number availability while installing the pega and its showed port number is available. if port number is a problem please guide me how to change port number wihtout un installing pega.

As a last attempt could you make sure whether any firewall or antivirus software is blocking the connection? If so kindly disable them and have a try.

Hi Narendra,
Hope you have installed it in C folder.Please verify below configuration
1.Go to C \PRPCPersonalEdition\tomcat\conf
2.Open context.xml.Verify below settings
<Resource name="jdbc/PegaRULES"
auth="Container"
type="javax.sql.DataSource"
maxActive="100"
maxIdle="30"
maxWait="10000"
driverClassName="org.postgresql.Driver"
url="jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432/pega"
username="pega"
password="****"/>
3.Check the port number,Please modify it to 5432 .
Now try restarting again.You can also try to connect to DB using PG Admin 3 and verify whether DB is accessible or not.

Hi Narendra,
Have you tried to connect to DB using pg admin 3?Are you able to connect?If not then it means port is not opened for you.

Hi Narendra,
I don't know your issue got resolved or not, but it can be get solved on the following ways:
it seems somehow one folder called "data" not got created under "C:\PRPCPersonalEdition\pgsql\" , so i will suggest you can ask for this folder from any of your friend for whom PEGA getting started properly.
After getting that folder navigate to "C:\PRPCPersonalEdition\scripts\" this path and edit "pg_env.bat" file and see if this line is present or not "@SET PGDATA=%BASEPATH%pgsql\data" on 5th line, if its not present there you can mention it and after doing all this steps you can start the server. Hopefully it will resolve your issue.
Please let me know the outcome.

Also from your logs it seems "pega_env.bat" this file not got created under "C:\PRPCPersonalEdition\pgsql\", this path. let me know your issue got fixed or not, othwerise i can provide you those files.
