How to run pre processing and post processing logic when using popup in Offline Mobile app in Pega 7.2.1
Hi,
I have a requirement to edit a case in offline, we are using popup to launch a flow action which needs a page list to be created in pre processing and logic to update the popup data to case in post processing. (Need this one to work in online and offline).
In other scenario, I need to go to user “D_pyUserWorkList” data page and loop through that and get the data from embedded pages and create a new page list and assign the data to that page list. (Need this one to work in online only).
Do you have any recommended approach from Pega?

Hi All,
We have used "Save" action on button click which will save the data to server. and used declare trigger, which will execute based on a property value change to update other tables data from case updated.

Activities and Data-Transforms are not supported in offline case.
Call activity as extension

Hi.
Thank you for the suggestions, I have verified the callactivity extension, but I have a question. while I am referring my created activity, why do I have to provide the data in the second block and what is the significance of it? because my activity will do processing if I provide pyworkpage reference into it to update any data.

Every activity needs a primary page to run on. Whatever you pass in 'data' object is converted to an unnamed page on clipboard and is used as primary page of the activity you're calling.
Remember, ultimately, callActivity is calling doActivity which has 3 arguments - ActivityKeys, PrimaryPage and ParameterPage. When you're using callActivity action, these arguments are built with the values you pass -
ActivityKeys <=> (StringMap) of {metadata.activityName, metadata.className}
PrimaryPage <=> (ClipboardPage)data
ParameterPage <=> (ParameterPage) of metadata.parameters
