RPA - Changing the from address of an email
We are working on a solution, where we want to send emails. But when we send the email, it takes the from address of the account configured in the machine where we have the RPA executing.
Instead of using this from address, we want to have the emails being generated from another address, like Proprietary information hidden
Please let us know if this possible

You should be able to use the methods and properties from the outlook connector to get what you need.

You will likely have to configure Outlook on the machine to use another account if you want to use the Outlook Connector. You can also use the SMTP component to send email. It has a property allowing you to specify a from name and from address. Your network must allow SMTP, but usually this is enabled. You will need to get your SMTP server name and port number from your admin (port is usually 25). In addition, you need to know if authentication is required. If not (most common), you will leave the user and password blank.

I am looking at the toolbox in my studio and am not able to find the SMTP component for using it. Can you please provide us the steps for using the SMTP component and configuring it

It should be on the Connectors tab in your Toolbox. If not, you can add it from the OpenSpan.Controls assembly.
1. Right-click on the Connectors tab in the Toolbox.
2. Select Choose Items
3. On the .Net Framework Components tab, you should be able to enter "SMTP" into the filter box.
4. If it is unchecked, go ahead and check it, and it should appear on your Toolbox.
