No support for average in calculation tab of the case type rule
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Create a Case1 which covers Subcase1 and Subcase2.
I have an "Amount" property on Subcase1 and Subcase2.
Now when both the cases (Subcase1 and Subcase2) are resolved, I need an average of Amount on Case1. But unfortunately there is no average option in calculation tab of the case type rule. We have only SUM option.
I am using 10 properties on Case1 calculation tab and everytime I need to calulate the average manually
I am using pega version 7.1.9. In earlier version of Pega I have noticed average feature, not sure why average option is removed now.
Is there any better solution
Kindly suggest.

I could seem the same behaviour inhouse. Can you specify the earlier version of pega you are referring to ? I could see only the 'sum' option in 7.1.1 as well.
Other alternative could be ,using the declareOnChange rule. Calculate the sum via calculation tab, and configure a declareOnChange rule to find out the average.

We never supported average for case type calculations, only sum option was supported. However this sounds like a good enhancement. Could you raise a feedback request for the same and mention the ID here.
