Attachments page not getting loaded on opening a work object
Hi All,
We are currently working on v6.3 sp1.
When i open a workobject from my worklist, i notice that the page "AttachmentList" which holds the attachments associated with the workobject does not get created automatically.
However, if you open the "Supporting Documentation" section then the page gets created.
I would like to believe that all pages associated with a work object should get created when you open the weork object from a worklist.
If anyone can point me to why this might be not happening, it would be useful.

This is expected behavior as the attachments page is loaded only when attachments gadget is loaded. The same behavior is continued in future pega releases also as we don;t want to load the clipboard pages unless they are required by UI or explicitly called.

Thanks for the info.
In our application there is a step where we need to validate if an attachement is present for a work object.
In a scenario where an attachment is added to the work object and saved as draft.
If the work object is opened from the worklist again and we try to proceed forward, the app gives a validation error as the "AttachmentPage" is not yet loaded on the clipboard. Is there anyway by which we can overcome this?

Hi Rawap,
You have mentioned here that the Attachment Page does not get loaded unless explicitly called. We are iterating through the Attachment Page in an activity and trying to validate for an attachment. Does that not qualify as an explicit reference?

It should be converted to a data page let's say D_Attachments and if it is not already loaded it will do necessary processing.
This is already done in product few releases back. Which Pega version are you using?
But irrespective, data page approach will help in this use case. Also there is a property on work page which tells if there is atleasy one attachment.
