How to refer the datapage data having embeded pages in repeat grid
Hi,
i have a requirement like getting data from multiple tables using Report defination and source as Datapage and need to refer the content of datapage in Repeting grid.
After running datapage the data page structure in the clipboard is as below format
D_test
D_test.pxResults
pxPages
.pxpages(test1)
.pxpages(test2)
.pxpages(test3)

Hi Pramod,
You can give the source of the Repeat grid as data page .
and in the each column properties you can mention either scalar properties or ebmbedded properties from the data page

If I understand correctly you want to bind the grid to a page group property which is D_test.pxResults(1).pxPages()
For this you have to first define the D_test, D_test.pxResults() and D_test.pxResults().pxPages() in the pages & classes tab and then configure grid to source from property i.e. D_test.pxResults(1).pxPages

I wanted to add some additional info to this as I was struggling with this for a bit. I have a report definition that joins multiple classes, and I too was loading it with a data page. I then wanted to display the resulting data in a repeat grid in a section.
In using the same structure as OP with a data page constructed like:
D_test
D_test.pxResults
pxPages
.pxpages(test1)
.pxpages(test2)
.pxpages(test3)
You would then first configure pages and classes tab of your section rule to be the following:

Then (assuming section is in the same class as your pxResults page), when configuring repeat grid, you can reference properties on the pxResults page with just .propertyname, and properties in the various other pages like .pxpages(test1).propertyname. If your section and pxResults class are different, I assume you would have to reference those properties by D_test.pxResults.propertyname (but I did not test this out)

Hi Jonathan,
.propname construct will work only in the context of the primary page i.e. the page context of the section where it is present. The minute you say topLevelPage.page.pagelist, you will lose the section's page context.

Hi I have data page with class SP-abc and source ad DT which is building a pagelist with name Abcdlist(1),abcdlist(2)...etc
This data page is having two input params for it
Now when I am referring the data page as source to property as drodown values I need to have the parameters for the data page and refere the pagelist Abcdlist of data page as a source
I am referring it as below:
D_abcd[a:.pyid,b:.pystatuswork].abcdlist in the section ,but it is not taking the data page with parameters,it is saying data page does not exist.
Can any one provide solution for this.i have added the data page D_abcd and D_abcd.abcdlist in pages and classes.
But my data page is a parameterized ,how should I give it in pages and classes.
