Case management ChangeStage activity
Hi,
I want to resolve a case type from another case type. I can open the case that I want to resolve, I used pxChangeStage OOTB activity to change stage to Resolved-Completed.
It doesn't meet my requirement. Any work around to meet my requirement. I am using Case management and working in Pega 7.1.8

pxChangeStage is to change stages. Not to resolve the case. But, you can still resolve the case by calling this activity to change stage to last stage which is "Resolution" stage. But, your last stage should not have any assignments, if you do, case will halt and won't close.

Lets assume you are already working on A-111 meanwhile you have to resolve B-222...
You have already opened B-222 in a page XYZ with lock.
Now call the OOTB activity Work-.UpdateStatus with step page as XYZ.
Pass the resolution status 'Resolved-Completed' as parameter to UpdateStatus.
There is one downside tho; this configuration will not be visible to any one who is looking at the stage&steps of the CaseTypeB.
