Base Rule and Date Ranged Circumstancing - Different Ruleset Versions
Hi All, ( In PRPC V6.1) I have a base rule in Version RuleSet : 01-09-31.
I have a DateRanged version of this rule that ends on Dec 30, but it is in a higher Ruleset viz. RuleSet : 01-09-32.
I need the base rule to fire on Dec 31. Will the above configuration work or do both the rules NEED to be in the same highest versioned ruleset i.e 01-09-32 ?
On Dec 31st, will the Base rule in the lower versioned Ruleset 01-09-31 fire or does the Base Rule NEED to be in the SAME ruleset as the circumstanced rule i.e in RuleSet : 01-09-32.

I think there was such limitation until some 5.x version but it is not an issue from 6.x. It should work fine.

It will work fine. The Circumstanced Rule does not need or have to be in the same RuleSet version as the Base Version of the Rule. On Dec. 31 the Circumstanced Version of the Rule will Expire and Pega's Rule Resolution Algorithm will automatically invoke the base version.
