Is there a way to import PDF form into Pega and put data place holders (variables) on top of it. (overlay form)

Hi all -

I have a requirement where I want to fill information in an standard PDF form (document) after capturing information through workflow and display that to the user for preview (as pdf) and for approval purpose (as editable pdf form only for the data being captured). Is there a way to import a PDF form in Pega workflow and put fields on top of the filliable area and preview that pdf with captured data in the workflow as mentioned above. Or there is some other strategy I need to adapt to design this solution. 

This question is for Architects and developers who might have the similar requirement.
