Upgrade Best approach for different environments
Hi All,
I am trying to understand best approach for Performing PRPC 6.x (Single Schema) to PRPC 7.x Split Schema. From what I understand, in case of Development Environments we need to follow Standard out of place split schema upgrade approach.
I want to understand what should be followed for QA / PRE PROD and PRODUCTION environments.

You can follow below approach for all your higher environments.
- Copy the rules schema from Dev to QA after upgrade is compelted
- Perform Generate Rule Schema Objects and Data Only Upgrade as mentioned in the Out of place split schema upgrade guide.
If you have any Pega Strategic Applications (Frameworks) then you need to re-import these frameworks in each of the environemtns to make sure that all the data instances realted to Frameworks are imported into respective data schema.

Vamshi, make sure your dev system has exact rule information (including prod rulesets etc). Or else in this hybrid approach, you would loose few rules,reports etc modified in prod.
