What are the best approaches for upgrading the operating system that a pega prpc node resides on?

I have a PEGA PRPC node (7.1.8) that resides on a host running Red Hat 6.6. I would like to take the host to Red Hat 7.x. Is there a document indicating what the approaches are for doing this? For example are any/all of the options below valid?
Options
a) Upgrade the operating system in-place.
b) Set up a second node running Red Hat 7 (I'm presuming cluster nodes can be on different OSs - just need PEGA to be at the same version) and then drop the first node
c) Just set up a new host, copy the software that has the prpc files across (i.e. /apps/tomcat) and then start up pega (any issues with node ids?)?
Am I missing any other possibilities? Thanks.

i think option c is safest among all to try. You need to change node id though since you will be setting up a new node altogether.

Not aware of any such doc, really since Redhat 7.x is supported for pega 7.1.8 (refer https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/prpc-5x-6x-platform-support-guide-easy-find). You can safely assume it would have no impact on pega with the host upgrade. Any specific issues known should have been documented in the platform guide quote here.
