Switching career from Admin role to pega developer

Hi,

I am working as a middleware admin also managing the pega administration, Had a chance to learn the SAE courses and was intresting ..so am half the way now...After  4 years of career as administrator switching to pega developing, Will it be a right choice of taking a pega developing role. please advice...

Thanks hari...But i have only basic lavel knowledge on java programming...Is that ok, If ihave only the pega developing knowledge to take over this role..And how will be the career advancement in this pega tool
