Pega 7.1.8 32 bit?

Hi,

I'm new to Pega and I'm trying to download the personal edition by logging in with my corporate account. The download lists only a 64 bit version of the Pega 7 platform. Do I need to run a 64 bit machine in order to learn Pega?

Yes PE comes with 64 bit. In case you do not have 64 bit, I suggest to download PVS from Pega Academy which would be the same experience, but would be for 7.17 version I guess.

Varun - The system requirements for installing Personal Edition are in the Pega 7.1.8 Personal Edition Installation Guide.  The requirements for Pega 7.1.8 Personal Edition are:

  • Intel-based personal computer of laptop with at least 2 GB+ of free RAM running a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 7
  • 5 GB of free disk space
  • A supported browser version:

            - Microsoft Internet Explorer version 8 or higher

            - Mozilla Firefox version 5 or higher

            - Google Chrome version 9 or higher
