7-Zip unable to extract downloaded sysadmin716_pvs_20140909.exe file
Hi,
I've downloaded the sysadmin716_pvs_20140909.exe file from Pega Academy several times and each time 7-Zip is unable to extract the contents. The error message reads '0 Can not open file 'C:\Temp\sysadmin716_pvs_20140909.exe' as archive.
Tried downloading through different web browsers and each time it displays that the file size is approx. 3.6Gb but the resulting downloaded file is approx. 2Gb. Is there an alternative way of accessing these PVS file for a self-study course as I suspect the file is not downloading completely and therefore is unable to be used.

Dear Kathryn,
To check if you have completely downloaded the file, run the following command in the console:
certutil -hashfile sysadmin716_pvs_20140909.exe MD5
MD5 hash of file sysadmin716_pvs_20140909.exe:
d5 33 36 c6 17 d7 cf 14 ba ce fb b3 df a9 0d d5
If your result is not the same, you will need to download again.

I have checked the MD5 hash and downloaded the file again and still having a problem with the download stopping at 2Gb. Is it possible to get this file from another source?
Here is the results I got when checking the hash:
C:\Temp\prpc_pvs>certutil -hashfile sysadmin716_pvs_20140909.exe MD5

I'm afraid there is no other known way to download this at this point. If it's consistently stopping at the 2GB mark, you may want to check if there is a download limit imposed by your network provider, or you may want to clear the cache and try again?
Sometimes, I find using a download manager helps, e.g. FreeDownloadManager (FDM) from http://www.freedownloadmanager.org. However, it will be a bit tricky cos you will need to copy the 10-second security token link and initiate the download from FDM within the 10-seconds. But when you do it right, it will usually download properly.

As per suggestion mentioned in this post I am able to download the 6.2 PVS through Download manager whose size is 2.88 gb. It also got extracted to a seperate drive i created prpc-pvs.
But I am not able to find the file named VMware-player-4.x.exe. and there is no Application folder created also. Only one Server folder creted which is having all the .vmdx, /.vmx files.
please suggest
