Conditional visibility of case type in Create menu on left nav of user portal
Need a way to hide a case type based on conditions/when rule for a case type to be show on UI for users on the Left hand navigation under OOTB + sign (Create menu) in Pega Constellation.

I have tried both already.
In constellation changes to pyCreateCase menu doesn't seem to work at all.
Updates to D_startingflows removes/adds the case type i want to the list, but it is not reflected in the UI unless user logs off and login again. It does seem to have an issue with refresh of the menu/navigation. I was trying to find a way to refresh that using DX API but not able to figure it out.

Constellation suggest that you have a Portal per Access Group on one Portal let's say Admin Portal you show the create case option and on the other Portal you don't add that capability. Check Switching portals and access groups in Constellation | Support Center
But a workaround is in an extension point in the D_StartingFlows Activity, search for pySortStartingFlows, in that data transform you will see RemoveDIDFromCreateMenu if you check that data transform you can see that you can add logic to delete from the data page the records of case types you don't want to show on your portal, you could add a similar data transform in pySortStartingFlows (Extension Point) to apply your logic.
But beware, since this data page is used for Developer and Case Manager Portal. Best option is still to follow the best practice for the Constellation Architecture.

There are 2 ways to enable conditional visibility of case type:
1. Add privilege to the Navigation rule- pyCreateMenu
2. Add more Filters to the Data Page used to populate the create case menu list - D_StartingFlows , using a Post processing activity.
