Update: Based on feedback from Pega and other users, Microsoft has released an update to Edge, version 113.0.1774.42, that reverts the change that affected Pega RPA’s ability to work with Edge version 113.0.1774.35. The Pega RPA team has tested this latest Microsoft update and found that it allows you to automate Edge just as before, with older versions of Pega Robotic Automation software.
If you install Edge version 113.0.1774.42, Pega RPA and Microsoft Edge will work as they did before you installed Edge version 113.0.1774.35.
Be advised, however, that this change and others, could be re-applied at a later date. As always, we encourage you to turn off automatic updates of your browsers; only pushing out new versions after you have had time to smoke test your automations.
The following table explains your options, but the bottom line is that if Microsoft Edge v113.0.1774.42 is installed, then the issue introduced with Microsoft Edge v113.0.1774.35 will not affect you, no matter what version of Pega RPA or Pega Browser Extension (PBE) is in use.
