Write Expression on button outside grid to enable or disable
Hi , I have a requirement where the below link is available on top of one page list , with checkbox against each row . The link must get enabled only if at least one of the checkbox/row is selected in the list.
How can I write expression "Isinpagelist" over here where we don't have option of expression builder.
PS : I tried giving when rule but for that I have to refresh the section on click of the checkbox and started getting other issues like holding the checkbox value

Have thought of Declare expressions for this as you have expression builder, you can set it to a property and that property can be used for disable condition? Review if this can meet your requirement.

You can create a when rule - something like IsACheckboxChecked - which you will add to the link.
In the case the when rule returns false, mark it disabled.
The when can return true given an expression which checks following utility function:
@Utilities.IsInPageList(lookFor, lookAt, lookIn)
- lookFor would likely be true
- lookAt would be the boolean property the checkbox is toggling for that row
- lookIn would be the page list
The one downside to this solution is you will have to add a refresh condition on the checkbox to trigger update on the link as the when rule cannot be evaluated on client and only on server.

If this does not work for you, another potential alternative would be to use javascript on click of the checkbox to enable / disable the link.

Hi Kyle,
With the when rule I have to do refresh section , as when rule will work in that scenario only. What I was looking was to create an expression which I can run on client side and I don't need to add any further action like refresh etc.
