Workforce Intelligence
Hi - I was going through the training material and looks like workforce intelligence can work with UI built on any technology and not only Pega . This is because its relying on a plugin to capture and pass the data . Can you please confirm whether my understanding is correct.
If yes , how does it differentiate between staring / working at a application which can be considered as production work and working on any other website? Is it configurable.

Yes, you are correct. Workforce Intelligence (WFI) works against most technologies / applications. WFI also picks up websites visited and can track a full range of activities and events that are done by users. You can filter and configure WFI to fit your needs in terms of what you need.

If it can be done it wouldn't be recommended. Firstly the non-pega app likely won't be supported, and secondly it would be easier to use the product that already exists.

These two extremely different comments quite scare me.
How does the platform capable of connecting to apps when they are not web pages in a browser? I couldn't find anything about that in the user guide. I would love to hear the explanation to the second, very favorable comment...

I think you may be confused with the Pega Platform product and the WFI product (a branch of the Pega Robotic Automation Runtime product). The product runs at the system level on user's machines. It uses a combination of MSAA, UI Automation, and Windows Events to accurately report on the apps running on the local machine.
