Word Interrogation for tables
I am taking data from excel document and filling that data into word document For Example In Excel I have two columns like A B Food Quantity Apple 1 Mango 2 Now this excel table is dynamic and can have any number of rows . In word template , I have a table of only 2x2 where this data needs to go . If excel has more than 1 row of data then table in word has to be replicated or inserted then I will have two (2x2) table and data needs to be entered into word ------------------------------------------- If excel contains only 1 row i.e A B Food Quantity Apple 1 Then i am able to do it as i can But if excel has two rows i.e A B Food Quantity Apple 1 Mango 2 then I can enter only 1st row details as I have only one (2x2) table but cannot create one more table to enter second excel row details

Here you can see word has only 1 (2x2) table , I want to add more 2X2 table to word

@shashwats6539Here is an example using 22.1. Let me know if you need an example using 19.1 as it would be possible, just a little harder to do there as I do not typically post examples in older versions.
If you have an existing table to insert into in your Word document, then you'll need to modify the code to locate your table and refer to it instead of a new one as I am doing.

@ThomasSasnett Hi Thomas , yes I am using 19.1.32 , as we have not switched to new version as of now. Would it be possible to update 19.1 code ? >Scenario is I have an existing table which will get entry from excel Suppose excel has Column A & Column B with header Name and Quantity And data corresponding to it is Name has three rows Apple Mango Apple and Quantity has rows 1, 2 , 5 So if user search for Apple in excel , data that should be populated to word will be ( Apple 1) in already existing table in word aND (Apple 5 ) in new created table in word by robot as count of search in excel for apple is 2

@shashwats6539 I would suggest you install the latest version of 22.1 and begin testing your projects with that version as 19.1 will at some point (likely this year) no longer be supported. The upgrade is really simple (select Upgrade 19.1 project from the File menu in 22.1). You can install 22.1 on the same machine as 19.1 as they can reside next to each other.
Your use case is possible. You can do it with a C# script, however it can also be done in an automation with an understanding of Word Interop. I am not sure I follow what you are trying to produce. Can you attach an example of your input file and what you'd like the output to look like?
Would you please confirm the build number you are using? Is it 19.1.132 or 19.1.32? The latter was released almost five years ago.

@shashwats6539 I do have a 19.1 version, but I am unable to test it as of yet. I will post as soon as I can test it.

@ThomasSasnettI was unable to get a version of Office installed to test this, however I believe it should work. Let me know if you have any questions with it. This is using essentially C# code written using the objects available in an automation. If you prefer the code though, you can ask your favorite AI assistant or search engine for assistance with Word interop and creating a table in a word document in C# and you can get an idea of what the automation is doing.
