@abhijith_telstra : It depends on which node you have selected in your queue processor rule. Please refer to the screenshot below where node for queue processor in the rule is selected as BackgroundProcessing.

Hi @abhijith_telstra: Queue processor will be still running in the associated node. But it uses the stream node to send and receive the messages.

Queueprocessors need both stream server and the server where the queue processor needs to run. The purpose of stream node is to store the published data in the kafka topic. The message can be subscribed by the data flow which is associated with the QP with the selected node type chosen in QP ruleform. The node type can be anything, it can be either background processing , web, search or even stream. Mostly we can choose as background processing.
