The zip file contains one JS, one CSS and one HTML file. The JS and CSS can be included in an existing page as well. The HTML file is simply there as an example of how to include them. It can be used as is, but will just be a simple blank page. 

As far as the questions about the webserver goes, you should be able to deploy it to any server. If you are planning to test it as a standalone page, Tomcat is probably the easiest to get. If you want to include the assets into an existing page, then just paste the code from the HTML file into any other page.
