What is the significance of multi level strategies in PM 8.4?

Hi All,

Please let me the significance of multi level strategy checkbox(Screenshot attached). CustomerID from the customer table is mapped to subject id in the strategy but where is the group id coming from? Our customer class needs to have multiple keys? But I remember that our customer class cannot have multiple keys except the CustomerID then how will this work. Where should I configure the multilevel strategies? Is this enabled by default? or Do I need to change anything?

I am not able to find the documentation on this.
