Validation in Pega with example
Difference between Validate rules and edit validate rules.. Give me a perfect example..

If we want to check the format of the text entered by the user, then we need to use Edit Validate.
If we need to use the compare the value we can use Validate rule.
Ex: For checking the format of the phone number we use Edit Validate. For checking if the entered amount is greater than 100, we use Validate.

Thnx Sir..I understood validate rules.What about edit validate rules..Eg: phone number format ..It means ?

The user needs to enter the phone number in this format 990-888-7125. Then we can use edit validate to check if the entered phone number is in the same format.
If we want to check the property value as soon as the user inputs, we use Edit Validate rules.
