Validation via custom filter in report definition
I have custom filter section for a report definition with two fields, 'fromdate' and 'todate' respectively. The 'todate' should not be more than 30 days of 'fromdate'.
Kindly suggest me an approach.

Hi,
I tried this logic, Pega accepting OOTB validate rules but not customized validation rules here. Please see the below link.

You can customize the Apply Filter Button and run an activity to validate the date . On error messages don't run the other set of events , this will not hit the DB and display the error messages instead.

Validation should happen on before screen where we initially enter the filter values, there we have only Submit button. That submit button section is Final and we cannot change it.
The Apply Filters & Clear Filters buttons will be displayed in the next screen along with the report definition results.
