In User Portal Work List View if column data value exceed more than specified no of characters then display ellipses like ABCDEFGH...
we have a requirement where we have to display ellipses if column data value exceed more than specified no of characters then display ellipses like ABCDEFGH...
Currently we are doing wrapping text.Client dose not want that.
We are using PRPC 7.1.10.Where pycaseheader section action drop down has a configuration to display ellipses after specified no of character.
File# client# client name
123456 A34444 PEGA SYSTEM INC
currently we are displaying like below.
File# client# client name
123456 A34444 PEGA SYSTEM
INC
we have to display like that
File# client# client name
123456 A34444 PEGA SYSTEM... on hover over it will display the tool tip PEGA SYSTEM INC.
Any kind of help really appropriated.

What version of PRPC are you using ? I checked in Pega 7.1.9 and am able to check the gadget present. Part of Pega-Gadgets rule set version 07-10-17

The concern with this control is , if there are more character in the property (>1000), complete value does not display in the tool tip. Can anyone let me know how to use pzEllipsis to display the entire text as tool tip

we have a requirement to display only 30 characters in the property value, if the value exceeds more than 30 characters then need to display as ABCDEFGH... But for both cases need to display the values in the tool tip also. We are using Pega 7.1.7v
As suggested we have used pzEllipsis control and tool tip is working fine but the values are displayed with around14 characters(Ex: ABCDEFGH...) but it should be fixed to 30 characters

Hi Sudhakar, you can use the pxTextAbridge Control, which takes the Character Count as a parameter and also displays the complete string as a Tooltip.
