I must say that it is a good question, however , i dont think we have any such mechanism present thru which you can achive Debian or Red Hat Package.

I believe this can be taken as an enhancement request ! Let me do some more research and get back to you on this, Meanwhile let s see whether anyone else has anything to share.

i need to export the application package from linux environment and i need import to the windows environment..

i am able to export..But while importing i am not able to see the Application at my windows system..even i am able to see the Rulesets of the imported application..

Anyone faced this issue??Please tell me the steps to follow...

I agree with Santanu - this is a very interesting question.

But I'm not sure in practice what this idea would mean ? Since rpm/deb packages are designed specifically to install Linux pakages onto Linux Operating Systems; things like binary files, shell-scripts, configuration files etc.

Whereas the content of a Pega RAP file is different : they contain Rules/Data (and possibly other types of artifacts to a lesser extent) - Rules and Data are essentially (in a first approximation here) just 'database records'.

Do you mean that it would be helpful to have RAP files (sort-of?) in the Format/Structure of a DEB/RPM file.

Or do you mean that you would like to be able to run something like:

sudo apt-install my-new-pega-app <coords?> <RAP-FILE?>

From the Linux Command line and for this to be interpretted by the Linux OS that it should import PRPC Records etc ?
