The uploaded file template could not be recognized. Please upload a valid file.
Hi All,
I need to parse a Excel which will as a attachemet in the WO. Im using MSOParseExcel for this functionality.
I have placed the file in the service export directory with my logic. Created a binary file template and passed the file path and the template name as parameters for the MSOParseExcel.
While executing it, getting the below error
The uploaded file template could not be recognized. Please upload a valid file. Refer to template MyExcelTemplate for details.
the excel file which im using as attachemnt follows the excel emplate.
Even tried with the file which is uploaded as the binary template and getting the same error.
Could someone help me in resolving this issue.
(PEGA version 7.2.2)
Thanks,
Aruldevan

The issue was with the File name parameter. Instead of using the complete system path, we used as file://web:/StaticContent/global/ServiceExport/MSOData.xlsx and the issue got resolved.

Hi Aruldevan,
How are you providing value to the template field in MSOParseExcel parameter.
Can you share snapshot of the parameter setting when calling MSOParseExcel activity.

Please check the logs when you see this error.
Are you seeing any variant of these?
- Column Header validation failed...
- Unreadable template: no entries...
- Error in parsing Excel file...

That's very interesting. Because if you see that message, the code I reviewed should be generating some errors in the log to correspond with it.

This might require a more in depth research by GCS team.
However, before I recommend you to reach out to GCS team via SR, I would suggest you to run the same use case for any of the OOTB template that is available and see whether that works or no.
This will help us to isolate whether the issue is with the template or process.
