Unable to test connection to database during Pega 8.2.1 installation

Hello,

I am having trouble testing the connection to the database during the Pega Platform Install via the IUA, I looked into the log files and found the error below. I have also attached a screenshot of Step 2 of the IUA. Please advise.

Mahesh,

Thanks for the reply. I was able to figure out the issue, and it wasn't due to the missing word. I came across a few knowledge articles that mentioned about the JDBC URL with the use of the Microsoft word but when i did insert it, it threw a whole different error. But I am good now, as I was able to successfully test the database connection and move forward with the build.

Thanks for the reply. I have already set the JAVA_HOME env variable, as it was one of the requirements listed in the pega-platform-82 install guide.

Hi Jeremy,

After looking into your screenshot noticed that you missed microsoft word in your JDBC URL as follows,

jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://server:1433;database=dbName ;SelectMethod=cursor;SendStringParametersasUnicode=false

Can you please correct your JDBC url as above and test the behavior.
