Finally its got resolved.
In two ways this issue is addresed.
1)RD is rfeferred to two shortcuts and one of shortcut availability is blocked. So change the shortcut availability to available and change the Rule key value, checkin the same.Ater that try to save as RD to higher version. After that you can change the shortcut availability to "Block" which ever you changed previous
or
2)Create a new RD with same existed(ie apply calss and ruleset is same but version is higher).Add all the fields and filters as it is in existing RD. Then save-->checkin.
Thanks for all who replied for this issue.....

Looks to be intermediate error. Did you try log-out and try resaving it again? Are you getting this error repeatively?

Yes tried, but no use.

Can you verify RD rule is checked-in or not? If not, try to check-in and do a save-as
Wipro

RD is already checkin and tried with save-as.

May I know the PRPC version and RD rule you are trying to save-as? Is it OOB one or custom RD?
Also, please clarify whether issue persists for other rules like activities, DT etc .. while saving?
Wipro

PRPC version is 7.1.8. Its a custom RD.This is hapeninig for only for RD. Remaining rules(activities, DT etc..) are able to save as in higher versions.
Thanks in advance....

Is the issue for a particular RD or all RDs ?
Have you tried to trace the "Save-As" action. Does it point to any activity that fails with this error infomation ? Any more info noted on the logs ?

Its for particular RD only.Yes traced, have message like "Status:Checkout failed.Unable to save original record that was to be checked out."
It does not point to any activity. But its refered to one shortcut.
