From the Support request and attachment, I find that with the currently Virtual RD, we do not have to option to specify color for column/row of the grid. 

If you want to color the entire virtual RD, then specify the inline style(of background-color style) for the sourced dynamically column of the grid. Refer the attached image.

Can you try below code snippet in non-auto section below the VirtualRD.

Please find the attachments for your reference.

Note: 'pyEmployeeDetails' is RD Name, '#gridLayoutTable' is table id.
